I have been working as a kinesiologist and physiotherapist in complementary therapy in my own practice in Basel for more than three decades.
I have continued to train in various areas out of my own interest in the human condition and in order to support my clients through their processes: often in healing, generally to achieve greater well-being, to learn to better assess limits and possibilities, to strengthen and develop resilience.
In recent years, the topic of dying and death has taken on a greater role in the circle of family and friends and in the client environment: from sudden death to palliative care, from voluntary assisted dying (VAD) to so-called hard suicide.
It was particularly important for me to accompany my mother during the last phase of her life. Knowing about the possibility of VAD was a great relief for her in the last years of her life. The “green light” for VAD increased her quality of life considerably and gave her a good quality of life until she completed her VAD at the age of 85.
Respecting a dying wish came naturally to me. I am convinced that every person is allowed to choose their own path at the end of life. Through my own experiences I am ready to support and accompany people in their last stage of life and to offer this service through Phönix Care.
